The tariff reduction is the result of the trend in the European gas price. It was at its lowest level in months last week. This is partly due to the fact that large quantities of LNG (liquefied gas) reach Europe.
Customers who will receive a new tariff from 1 November will pay 3.17 euros per cubic meter of gas and 79 cents per kilowatt hour of electricity. They were informed of the rate cut at the end of September.
Eneco customers whose tariffs will increase before 1 November will in any case pay 3.35 euros per cubic meter of gas and 84 cents per kilowatt hour.
According to the spokesperson, “coffee grounds are being checked” at the moment if tariffs for the latter group will also decrease. “It is difficult to say what will happen in the future. We cannot give guarantees.”
