“The Tank East: A new nightclub in Lyon’s Gerland district for night owls”

INFO ACTU LYON. Night owls will be served. Friday, June 2, a new nightclub will open its doors in the Gerland district (7th), in Lyon: the Tank East.

The club, which is nothing more than an “extension” of the famous Tank beer bar, will welcome Lyonnais from Thursday to Saturday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Presentation.

Electro, hip-hop, reggaeton…

“When we opened in 2020, we already had plans to set up this club. We therefore cut the enormous space we had in two,” reports the site’s communication officer.

The already festive atmosphere of the Tank can now continue until the end of the night.

400 customers will be able to wiggle their hips to commercial, electro, hip-hop and reggaeton music in a space of 300 m² with “vintage New York” decoration with a dance floor and a bar.

Behind the turntables, DJs from Lyon such as Alex Roma, Ruben Conga or even Dj Buddha will come to liven up the evenings, some of which will be themed.

An average age between 25 and 30 years old

“It will not be an elitist club,” says Tank East, which expects to welcome customers whose average age is between 25 and 30 years old.

The nightclub will close for three weeks in August, as will the Tank bar. The doors will reopen in September and reception will then be possible from 9 p.m.
