The Taliban bans pictures of living people, against Islamic law

Taliban which is now in power at Afghanistan he will implement a law that prohibits the media from publishing images of all living things. Journalists in the country have been told that the ban will be implemented in stages.

Plans to implement this latest ban, as reported AFPTuesday (15/10/2024), announced by the Ministry of Morality of Afghanistan under the Taliban government on Monday (14/10) local time.

This news comes after the Taliban government recently announced a law formalizing a strict interpretation of Islamic law that has been in place ever since. they are in power in Afghanistan from 2021.

He said that Taliban officials will try to persuade the public that images of living creatures are against Islamic law.

“Coercion has no place in law enforcement,” Khyber said in a statement.

“It’s just advice, and to convince the public that these things are really against Sharia (law) and should be avoided,” he explained.

The new law details a number of rules for the news media, including a ban on publishing images of all living things and ordering the media not to mock or embarrass Islam, or ‘ break Islamic law.
