It was impossible to look away from this bright man.
Mikhail Boyarsky is one of the most famous Soviet actors. He played many bright roles, but most of all he fell in love with the audience as D’Artagnan from The Three Musketeers. Few people know that Mikhail’s brother, Alexander Boyarsky, is an equally talented actor.
Alexander is not a native, but a half-brother of Mikhail Boyarsky. But since childhood, they were very close, and little Misha was in many ways equal to his older brother. After school, Sasha tried to enter the theater institute in Leningrad, but failed due to poor diction. A year later, Alexander improved his speech and was able to get into LGITMIK.
Immediately after graduation, the young man began acting in films and got the main role in the film “The Youth of an Officer”. Unfortunately, the picture was not published, but the role of the officer was assigned to Boyarsky. His list of film roles is small, but most of them are White Guard officers. On the theater stage, Alexander’s career went much better. He played in Leningrad for several years, and then went to Riga and became a director of a drama theater.
Mikhail Boyarsky himself always admitted that his older brother was prettier and smarter than him. In his youth, Alexander could easily outshine his relative with his aristocratic appearance. Fans believe that it is Alexander Boyarsky who is much more like a Gascon nobleman than Mikhail, who played the role of D’Artagnan.
Unfortunately, Alexander’s life was tragically cut short at the age of 42. On tour in Bulgaria, he drowned during a storm.
