The 6 and a half year old, dreamed up and created by Vilmos Détári from Szeged, reached a milestone St. Vincent Rehabilitation Center by moving into a brand new building barely a month ago. At 50 Bakay Nándor utca, which is much larger than the previous one, the quality work continues in a modern environment equipped with modern machines, at about 1,500 square meters.
The goal is a national ambulance network
It is also new that as the first station of the future ambulance network in Székesfehérvár, dr. Rehabilitation specialist Attila Óvári performs a thorough condition assessment. From there, it is possible to start therapy at Szent Vincent in Szeged, from the reimbursement fee of which the residents of Szeged will reimburse the costs incurred at the Székesfehérvár ambulance.
Saint Vincent, which enjoys a good reputation throughout the country, is mainly used in neurological diseases (such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord and skull injury, Sclerosis Multiplex), but thanks to its wide range of services, it can also provide orthopedic, rheumatology, and traumatological cases at a high level. More and more people from neighboring countries are also visiting the institution.
There is already carbon dioxide therapy
The gym of the complex in Szeged, which is much more spacious than before, and is even more modern, was designed in such a way that a more undisturbed atmosphere can be realized more easily during individual treatments and even more hanging grids have been installed, with the help of which exercises can be performed in a relieved position in case of weakened or paralyzed limbs, and with the help of rubber resistances, muscles can be strengthened extremely well.
Unique in the region carbon dioxide dry bath therapy was started: During the treatment with carbon dioxide gas, the gas entering the circulation through the skin, in addition to its general well-being-improving effect, can help in all conditions where improvement is expected through the increase of local blood flow and tissue oxygenation, and the improvement of microcirculation. People suffering from vascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes patients, vascular surgery patients, osteoporosis patients and immune patients also report a positive effect after the treatments. It is excellently suitable for chronic diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatic vessels of the limbs, for the treatment of vascular complications associated with diabetes, after reconstructive vascular surgery, catheter vasodilation, and stent implantation. For athletes, it can help faster regeneration or even shorten the healing time of various injuries, and this method is also suitable for stimulating the wound healing process.
Another of their new services, the hydrotherapyduring which galvanic current treatment, underwater jet massage, and carbonic acid treatment can all be implemented in a multifunctional combined tub.
Also as a new service dietary counseling has started, and psychiatric specialist care will soon be available at the center.
Healing by playing
Of course, let’s not forget about the services known from before! Neurological specialty, TMS therapy, robotic therapy, physiotherapy-gym, occupational therapy, psychological specialty, speech therapy, massage, dog-assisted activity, development sessions, mental health support, life counseling, ASA M6 MLS Laser therapy, ASA Easy Quattro Pro magnetic therapy helps to heal. There are hardly any such complex therapeutic options in the country, it is no wonder that their waiting list is two months on average.
-Our robotic therapy devices are mainly suitable for the rehabilitation of the upper limb, but there are also devices that help improve balance or gait. With these tools, it is much easier to maintain the attention and motivation of patients for a longer period of time. There are those who take up a therapy only a few times, but many come to us for several weeks or even months. They can spend the time between treatments in the rest room, said physiotherapist Dorottya Fehér-Lengyel, the professional manager of Szent Vincent.
There will also be St. Vincent in Budapest
-In six years, we created a -unfortunately- unique rehabilitation center: we find that there is a great need for more institutions like ours in the country. Of course, I am proud of the fact that the center that I dreamed up regarding my personal involvement has a very good reputation in professional circles as well. We also maintain a good relationship with the National Institute of Medical Rehabilitation, I feel that they recognize our work and treat us as a partner, said founder-owner Vilmos Détári, who, as a stroke survivor, knows and feels the difficulties that patients and their family members have to deal with.
– I want those who come to us and their relatives to feel that they are not alone. We help them to move forward on the road to recovery by achieving small, achievable goals. Our results show that we are the most dynamically developing center in the rehabilitation segment, this is due to the outstanding quality of completely individualized, complex therapies, which the patients who trust us are successfully rehabilitated! Although the new center is bigger, we still strive for quality development rather than quantity.
Vilmos Détári also said that in 2023, they want to implement specialist outpatient care in the capital city similar to the one in Szeged.
