The Syrian who ran over the two police officers in Burgas was of age when the crime was committed, reports BGNES.

In the District Court in the seaside town, the case continues over the death of the uniformed men who were hit and killed by a bus full of 47 illegal migrants.

Today, the forensic medical examination will be presented, which proves that at the time of the crime, the defendant Omar Adnan was an adult.

We recall that for a long time he justified himself by saying that he was a minor at the time of the crime.

“This expertise was appointed at the very beginning of the investigation, when doubts arose about the age of Omar, who claimed to be a minor. Documents were then presented that indicated different dates of birth for this person. The conclusion of the examination is that he is an adult,” said prosecutor Dimitar Uzunov.

All three experts who performed the forensic medical examination, as well as other witnesses, are to be heard today.

Among them is an employee of a gas station in the Poda area near Burgas, where the first bus bought by the traffickers broke down. She called 112 because of their suspicious behavior.

The case will not end today, because more witnesses are being sought among the migrants who have address registrations in Bulgaria.
