Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt broke its silence and responded to the news that circulated during the past hours regarding the death of singer Sherine Abdel Wahab.
According to the Egyptian Al-Ahram portal, the union’s spokesman, Mohamed Abdullah, said that what was published about the artist, Sherine Abdel-Wahhab, is completely false.
Abdullah criticized the widespread news of her death, stressing that what is happening has no justification for spreading false rumors about singers and artists in general.
For his part, the Egyptian artist’s lawyer called on the public not to circulate such rumors, and also asked them to investigate the accuracy of the news that is published, stressing that his office will trace the source of the rumor of her death, and all legal measures will be taken against him.
The widespread rumor claimed that the owner of the song “Ah Ya Lail” had died of a sudden heart attack, and this news was circulated like wildfire through the social media pages.
