It will be possible to watch the concert free of charge at LSO YouTube channel and Facebook page.
At the same time, attending the concert in person for the audience will be canceled on Friday, October 15, in Liepāja Concert Hall “Lielais dzintars” and on Saturday, October 16, in the concert “Maestro and Margarita Balanas” scheduled for Rundāle Castle.
“We offered both concerts this week to a mixed type of audience, namely, with both Covid-19 vaccination and disease and test certificates, but as a result of the emergency situation announced by the Cabinet of Ministers, such events are no longer allowed,” explains ULO Director Uldis Lipskis. “It is too short a time to change the conditions for attending the event. Not wanting to disappoint our loyal listeners, we will offer the concert to everyone without any restrictions in live video.
In an online concert on Friday evening, cellist Margarita Balanas will perform a Concerto for cello by Czech composer Anton Kraft with an orchestra in Domažor.
Anton Crafts is one of the most virtuoso cellists of his time, to whom the Viennese classics Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven have also dedicated their ingenious compositions.
Margarita Balanas is currently actively performing both in Latvia and in other countries around the world. She has won many international concerts, performed at prestigious concert venues and collaborated with many outstanding musicians and ensembles.
The stylistically diverse program will also feature the Eighth or Unfinished Symphony of the outstanding melodic artist Franz Schubert, as well as the overture “Rosamunde”.
