ADDA Simfònica begins at the General Hospital its annual series of concerts in social and elderly centers.
The orchestra ADDA Symphony has resumed this morning the social program who takes his music to hospitals, nursing homes, social centers and those places in the province with people with difficulties to travel to the Auditorium of the Alicante Provincial Council.
Small formations of trios, quartets or quintets that run through the designated spaces in the different hospitals and centers. The ADDA Simfònica social calendar has started this year in the General University Hospital of Alicante and tomorrow the musicians will travel to the Provincial Home, where they will act for users.
The vice president and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra, thanked “the social work that is carried out to bring music to different spaces, an effort that is worthwhile because it allows people to enjoy the ADDA Simfònica orchestra who, otherwise, could hardly live this cultural experience.”
After the forced stoppage motivated by the pandemic, the artistic director of ADDA, Josep Vicent, has expressed his satisfaction in resuming what he considers to be the most important activity of the Auditorium. “We are finally resuming this calendar specially designed for people who are in hospitals, in social centers or for the elderly throughout the province, because the curative capacity, the ability to inspire the music, is extraordinary in every way”, has nuanced Josep Vicent.
Likewise, the chamber music of the Alicante orchestra will be present at Sant Joan d’Alacant on 25 November, coinciding with the International Day of Violence against Women, and, with Josep Vicent in front, you will visit the towns of Elda and La Algueña the December 3 and 4, respectively, to offer two concerts with pieces by Prokofiev y Beethoven.
Last season, the ADDA Simfònica acted in the Pediatrics and Children’s Oncology service of the General Hospital, in the Provincial Home, in the Dr. Esquerdo center, in the University Hospital of Torrevieja, in the Residence for the Third Age of Torrevieja and in the Vega Baja, Vinalopó, San Juan or Alcoy hospitals, among other centers.
