Swiss juniors are celebrating at the US Open. Jérôme Kym and Sebastianna Scilipoti both qualified for the semi-finals on Thursday.

Jérôme Kym, who trains in Kitzbühek under Austrian Markus Hipfl, won 4-6 6-3 6-4 in the quarterfinals ahead of American Samir Banerjee. He trembled as he concluded against the American, the No. 2 seed and the Wimbledon title this summer, conceding his serve as he led 5-2.
