Swedish star forward Anton Wedin left HV71 and SHL ahead of this season for games in the KHL with Sibir Novosibirsk.
There, Wedin has had a slow start and stands on a goal and an assist after 14 matches. Siberia is about to change head coach and Anton Wedin has been injured.
On Thursday, Siberia announced that it had agreed with Anton Wedin to break the contract. He receives financial compensation and is available on the market.

Sundsvall-born Anton Wedin would be a dream reinforcement for SHL newcomer Timrå where he is raised. But then the tax bit and the financial side need to be solved.
28-year-old Wedin scored 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 39 SHL games for HV71 last season. In 2018/2019, he scored 27 points (14 + 13) in 32 SHL matches for Timrå.
Recently, the Malmö Redhawks managed to take home Fredrik Händemark from the KHL club SKA St Petersburg.
