Arizona has had a tough season in the NHL to say the least.
Ahead of tonight’s meeting with the New Jersey Devils, the team was second last in the league with only 22 recorded points.
But tonight the team got to cheer, for the second time in a row.
Despite an early defeat, Arizona managed to turn around and win 4-1. And it was the Swedish players who laid the foundation for the victory.
Loui Eriksson was first assisted by Dysin Mayo to 1-1 halfway into the second period. Then it was again Eriksson, together with Anton Strålman, who served Lawson Crouse to the 2-1 goal.
Larsson’s sixth goal of the season
However, the Swedish score did not end there.
In the final period, Johan Larsson fixed the final score to 4-1 when he found the gap behind Mackenzie Blackwood in the New Jersey goal.
It was Johan Larsson’s sixth goal of the season and goal of the second match in a row.
In addition to the Swedes’ contribution to the victory, the Czech goalkeeper Karel Vejmelka also played great and saved 35 of 36 shots.
