In the Sverdlovsk region future coaches will be provided with subsidies from the regional budget for higher education. The procedure for providing funds was approved by the governor Evgeny Kuyvashev.
According to the regional information policy department, the procedure for providing subsidies was developed by the regional Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports. According to the innovations, future trainers can receive subsidies for training both in undergraduate and graduate programs. Already in 2025, ten residents of the region will be able to take advantage of this support. They will be able to undergo training in six specialties.
Upon completion of training, the specialist signs an employment contract for a certain period with one of the state sports institutions in the region. The term can be at least three years if working full-time or five years if working part-time.
Let us recall that in October, Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev instructed the government of the Sverdlovsk region to present a project on youth policy for 2025 as part of the preparation of national projects.
As the head of the region noted, a quarter of the residents of our region are young people: purposeful, creative, talented. Of these, 160 thousand people are students. The regional government values the potential of young people and creates all the conditions for its implementation.
Today, there are programs in the region aimed at helping young people get a good education and decent work, solve housing issues, and develop a mature citizenship.
In 2022, Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev put forward a thesis about Yekaterinburg as the student capital of Russia. At the same time it was launched student support program “Campus”. Within the framework of this program, all expenses for the maintenance of objects transferred to UrFU named after. Yeltsin, after the end of the World University Sports Festival, will take over the budget of the Sverdlovsk region. As follows from the decree of the regional governor, all expenses of the campus in the Novokoltsovsky district are subject to compensation in the form of a grant.
In addition, various student support projects are involved within the framework of the same program. Excellent students from the Sverdlovsk region receive scholarships as part of the program. The final payment will be 10 thousand rubles: if the monthly scholarship is 2,200 rubles, then the additional payment from the Campus Foundation will be 7,800 rubles. For excellent students studying on a paid basis without a scholarship, the Campus scholarship is equal to 10 thousand rubles.
