The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided that the “show” must go on. Just a week after the last three episodes of the docuseries “Harry & Megan”, of Netflix, for which they pocketed 100 million euros, the couple announced that they are working, with the same platform, on an innovative project: “Live to Lead”, a documentary series inspired by Nelson Mandela which will be released on December 31st. “This project was inspired by Nelson Mandela, who once said: ‘What matters in life is not just the fact that you have lived'”says the prince Harry, in the trailer. “It is the difference we have made in the lives of others that will determine the meaning of the life we lead,” adds Meghan Markle.
“Our lives, both independently and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: courage, resilience and the need for connection,” said Harry and Megan in a statement when they announced their partnership with Netflix.
“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments to shine a light on people and causes around the world, our goal will be to create content that informs, but also gives hope.”
Although the new project has nothing to do with the life of the Sussex, nor her departure from the British royal family, has all the makings of being a huge success. As far as we know, for now, each episode of the series (a total of seven) will last 25 minutes and will all be produced by the Sussexes.
cEach will feature exclusive interviews with current world leaders such as former US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg; climate change activist Greta Thunberg; social justice defense attorney Bryan Stevenson; New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern; the captain of the South African rugby team and activist for social inequalities, Siya Kolisi; feminist icon and social justice activist Gloria Steinem; or the former judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, Albie Sachsamong many other guests.
