“The suspension of public procurement by the Prime Minister is another manifestation of crisis PR”, said the deputy chairman of the PG of BSP LEFT BULGARIA and party spokesman Atanas Merdzhanov in Yambol. “I don’t know what exactly are the reasons for stopping the orders, and no one can say whether this decision is the result of foreign pressure, of some genius enlightenment in the mind of the Prime Minister or is simple intelligence in connection with the publication of the new Law for public procurement, which in itself is scandalous and unacceptable, at least for BSP LEFT BULGARIA. And here the question arises, what exactly is Borisov doing – does he oppose or in fact please to a greater extent these corporate internal factors – oligarchically, according to some definitions, for the distribution of public procurement, of money and goods. Because it is no secret to anyone that business is distributed among several large corporations at the expense of medium and small companies. Recently, we have become heroic witnesses of how a large company wins a public order and then necessarily redistributes it,” emphasized Merdzhanov and recalled that a similar situation occurred during the construction of the Yambol section of the “Trakia” highway during the first government of Borisov.

“At that time, many of the subcontractors were in financial difficulties and even went bankrupt”, pointed out Atanas Merdzhanov and added: “It will be very interesting if the affected winning companies will appeal, what will be their behavior and if they do not appeal, will this not be another testimony and demonstration of this prior agreement with the business!”.

Atanas Merdzhanov also commented on the government’s policy towards refugees:

“The active policy of our representatives in the European institutions to win the national interest, of course, corresponding with the European one, is missing. It never became clear what Borisov’s position is in the Visegrad Four, what he agreed to and what is Bulgaria’s position?!” is it the only obstacle that the current prime minister shows with passion in front of the guests.
