/ world today news/ The suspension of the show “Deconstruction” opens a serious wound in the body of the already harassed and injured Bulgarian journalism.
At a time when freedom of speech in Bulgaria is already in question, most media are in the hands of one owner, and Bulgarian National Radio and Bulgarian National Television are among the last bastions of freedom of speech, the blow to come from there was really unexpectedly.
The show “Deconstruction” gave a platform to ordinary Bulgarian citizens, to people who believe in social equality and equal opportunities for all, and was not subject to oligarchic media interests.
With the suspension of “Deconstruction”, thousands of Bulgarians were left without the opportunity to have their word, their position heard. At the same time, the Bulgarian media lost one of the last symbols of freedom of speech.
Pity for Bulgaria, pity for Bulgarian journalism.
