The guard’s brother said that after the funeral, the suspect’s parents asked the widow for forgiveness and offered financial assistance. However, the family refused the money, the relatives of the murdered man made it clear that they were not going to forgive the man and there could be no talk of any reconciliation.
“On the day of the funeral, the relatives of the detainee came to us and asked for forgiveness. They offered our daughter-in-law money and asked for her bank account number. We said, we won’t forgive anyone. We don’t need their money. We will bring the case to court so that the culprit is punished. They turned around and left. That’s all,” said Ruslan Kayypbaev.
Little is known about the alleged killer himself: the 45-year-old suspect is divorced and lives with elderly parents. Neighbors said that the man often got into trouble.
Also, as the TV channel reports, it became known that the suspect’s father is a former deputy. Previously, he allegedly held the position of senior assistant prosecutor of Taldykorgan.
The elderly man himself refused to comment on the actions of his son.
“I don’t talk to anyone or give interviews. The investigative authorities will sort it out,” he answered questions from a TV channel journalist.
Now the alleged criminal is in a temporary detention center. For murder committed with extreme cruelty, he could face up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
