The security services in Cairo are intensifying their efforts, headed by Major General Mohamed Abdallah, to uncover the circumstances of finding the body of a woman in the Al-Maasara area.
The sheriff of Al-Maasara Police Station in the Cairo Security Directorate received a notification from the Police Department of Rescue to receive a hospital with a state of exhaustion, alleged poisoning and her subsequent death.
Initial investigations and examination suggested that the deceased committed suicide, and her name was “Iman.N.” By taking a grain-preserving tablet, the body was transferred to the hospital refrigerator in preparation for its transfer to the morgue at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
In turn, the state is working to provide support for mental patients through more than one hotline to help those who have psychological problems or desire to commit suicide, most notably the hotline of the General Secretariat for Mental Health, in the Ministry of Health and Population, to receive psychological inquiries and psychological support, and support those wishing to commit suicide, through No. 08008880700, 0220816831, all day.
The National Council for Mental Health has also allocated a hotline to receive psychological inquiries: 20818102. The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa affirmed that suicide is a major sin and a crime against the soul and Sharia, and the person who commits suicide is not an infidel, and the guilt of this crime should not be minimized, as well as not finding justifications and creating a state of sympathy for this. Rather, it is treated as a mental illness that can be treated through specialists.
