The San Giuseppe Hospital in Cairo Montenotte is the protagonist of an important phase of transformation, with renovation and technological update interventions made possible thanks to funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The objective is clear: to improve the local healthcare offering and adapt to the “Proximity Medicine” model, which promotes a more accessible approach that is closer to citizens’ needs.

The renovation plan, which began in 2023, began with the anti-seismic adaptation of the structure. Subsequently, on 29 August 2024, the second phase was started, which involves the complete renovation of the hospital and the creation of a new Community House. The works will involve all three floors of the building, with interventions on electrical systems, medical gases, air conditioning and water networks, together with the renovation of walls, ceilings and floors, to comply with the most recent health regulations.
