The meeting was attended by Dr. Tariq Saada, Head of the Media Syndicate, Ibrahim Abukila, Undersecretary of the Journalists Syndicate, Eng. Abdul Sadiq Al-Shorbaji, President of the National Press Authority, Jamal Allam, President of the Football Association, Hassan Khalafallah, President of the Sports Critics Association, and members of the Supreme Media Council, Nashat Al-Daihi, Saleh Al-Salhi, and Dr. Mona. Al-Hadidi, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, and Mahmoud Hussein, Chairman of the Parliament’s Youth and Sports Committee.

The joint meeting between the members of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, the National Press Authority, the Journalists and Media Syndicates, the Football Association, the Youth and Sports Committee in the House of Representatives, and the Association of Sports Critics decided to form a permanent committee that includes the competent authorities to control the sports scene by monitoring and following up on sports media, and examining violations and abuses, through All different media and social media, and take urgent and decisive measures in this regard in accordance with the law.

The attendees also agreed to issue the necessary procedures to take into account specialization in the presentation and guests of sports programs and qualification to carry out this work, and to publish the Disciplinary Regulations of the Football Association and circulate them to all media and increase awareness and insight into them, as well as an in-depth study on dealing with arbitration clauses in sports programs.

The attendees agreed on the need to work together and forcefully confront all abuses, take strict measures against the perpetrators, preserve the prestige of the state and sports institutions, and enforce the laws with the utmost severity and firmness, whoever the perpetrators are.

The attendees emphasized that the goal is to purify the sports atmosphere from hatred, spread the spirit of tolerance and distance from intolerance, and protect the public’s rights to clean media and fair practices that stand at the same distance from everyone.
