The supervisor of the “King Salman Center” answers • Al-Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, commented on sending aid to Syria after the devastating earthquake occurred more than two weeks ago.

He said during televised remarks: “Saudi humanitarian work is not linked to politics, nor to ethnic, religious, or agendas related to color or geographical borders, and therefore it was not surprising that the Kingdom’s government and people initiated the humanitarian response in Turkey and Syria.

He continued: The aid was sent to Syria and the planes landed, in coordination with the Syrian Red Crescent, and there were no obstacles, and coordination took place to provide the needs, and more planes are still on the way.

The broadcaster asked Dr. Al-Rabeeah a question, saying: “Can Saudi aid restore Saudi relations with Syria?”

Al-Rabeeah replied, “I am not the policy maker in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but it is certain that the Kingdom is keen on stability, whether it is in Yemen or Syria, and in all regions of the world without exception.”

He added, “The Kingdom hopes and is very keen for stability in the Arab world, in a manner that guarantees security, peace and stability in the region.”
