The Superior Court of Justice of Asturias disavows the curfew in the community | BE Gijón

The Superior Court of Justice of Asturias (TSJA) has defeated the claims of the autonomous government to apply a curfew between one and six in the morning from Monday in Oviedo, Gijón and six other councils in which they live more than 630.00 people, 61 percent of the Principality’s population.

What it has authorized is the prohibition that groups of more than ten people meet abroad at night in all the councils in which the incidence of the coronavirus is higher and that as of Monday will be in a situation of risk 4Plus.

Gozón, Laviana, Mieres, Siero, Villaviciosa, Carreño and Gozón are, together with Oviedo and Gijón, the municipalities that are in Asturias at extreme risk of contagion by coronavirus for having exceeded 350 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants for three consecutive days at a time when hospital pressure throughout the community has risen to a medium risk level.

As of Monday, and for two weeks, in these eight municipalities surveillance will be tightened, but finally it will not be possible to apply the limitation of night mobility for five hours that the Government chaired by Adrián Barbón had requested to try to reduce the incidence of coronavirus.
