The Sun Explosion Phenomenon Was Successfully Captured by Spacecraft Cameras

KOMPAS.com – Spaceship Solar Orbiter belonging to the European Space Agency (THIS) managed to capture a photo of the explosion Sun which happened some time ago.

In addition, the Parker Solar Probe belonging to the United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), also reportedly took pictures of the same phenomenon.

Researchers from ESA said that the results of the photo solar prominence or this solar bulge is very special. Because, the largest solar eruption event displays an image along with the shape of the sun’s disk that looks full.

To note, the solar bulge is a large structure of magnetic field lines that keeps the concentration of the Sun’s plasma solid on its surface.

The solar bulge, said the ESA, is often associated with coronal mass ejections (CME), which, when they reach Earth, release energy that can interfere with technology such as satellites.

Sun Blast occurred on February 15 last and expanded as far as millions of km into space. This image was recorded by Full Sun Imager (FSI) of Extreme Ultraviolet Imager above the Solar Orbiter.

“Today, there is still a lot of ‘viewing margin’ around the disk, allowing FSI amazing detail to be captured up to a distance of about 3.5 million kilometers, the equivalent of five times the radius of the Sun,” the ESA researchers said in a statement. CNNTuesday (22/2/202).

They added, device Full Sun Imager it is specifically designed to record the full disk of the Sun, even when this huge star is in close proximity.

“On the closest flight on March 26, spaceship will pass within a distance of about 0.3 times the distance between the Sun and Earth, the Sun will fill a much larger part of the telescope’s field of view,” continued ESA.

Other space telescopes, such as the ESA/NASA SOHO satellite, also frequently observe solar activity. However, this device cannot produce detailed images of the corona Sun or the outer layer.
