The summer tourists have taken over Northern Norway: Up to three hours of ferry queue

Among other things, there was heavy traffic between Bognes and Lødingen, which is one of Northern Norway’s busiest ferry routes. According to the newspaper Forwards there was a waiting time of up to three hours on Sunday.

There was also heavy traffic, long queues and waiting time on the Moskenes-Bodø connection.

Operations manager Reidar Waage in Torghatten Nord says that they have recently seen an increase in tourists from the south and from abroad. He says that there are queues and waiting times for several of their connections, especially on Fridays and Sundays.

– We run full capacity and have put in extra material on all connections.

Waage tells the newspaper that he understands that some passengers are frustrated, especially when the next ferry does not leave until half an hour later.
