The successful musical work “The Funeral of the Objects”, created by the Manasseri-Provenzano duo and focused on a group of private people unknown to each other who come together to be part of a strange response, will arrive with its fourth season at the Sala Pablo Picasso from Paseo La Plaza on January 10, where it can be seen every Wednesday at 8 p.m.
The proposal by the duo of directors of the Phepandú Performing Arts Company arrives at the Buenos Aires Corrientes Avenue circuit after performing more than 100 uninterrupted performances for two years, and after receiving recognition at the Luisa Vehil, Hugo and Estrella de Mar awards. .
“The funeral of objects” is about a world where the relationship with others becomes more complex every day, and in which objects are functional as faithful servants not only of dreams and desires, but also of frustrations, failures, fears and insecurities.
In this sense, the work investigates the way in which objects constitute the human, the imposition of the material on subjectivity and, ultimately, the denaturalization of people in a capitalist and materialist system.
Nicolas Manasseri and Fernanda Provenzano form part of the cast alongside Eugenia Fernandez, Victor Hugo Araguas, Martina Alonso, Matías Zajic, Rafael Escalante and Daniela Rubiatti; to which are added Christian Edelstein, Nicholas Hernan Quaglini, Alejandra Oteiza, Estefania Alati and Nicolle Scher on covers and Facundo Cicciu on piano.
Tickets for performances on Paseo La Plaza are now available at the theater box office (Av. Corrientes 1660) or through the Plateanet website.
