Elham Wagdy says about her work in the series “Revealing Urgent”: I was very excited to work with the comedy duo Mustafa Khater and Mohamed Abdel Rahman, and I benefited from them because it was the first time I was participating in a comedy, and I was happy with the behind-the-scenes work and the experience was wonderful, and I benefited very much from director Shadi Al-Ramli, who trusted me. To play the character of “Lily”, the boxing player, which is a completely different combination, and I put a lot of effort into it and trained a lot, because I always like to master my roles and the work atmosphere was wonderful with Hanadi Muhanna, Mohamed Lotfy and the entire team of the series, which I consider an important step in my artistic career.
Your first dramatic appearance was outside Ramadan in the series “Old Rent.” Did you feel a difference in success and reactions after participating in a Ramadan work?
The measure is the strength of the work and the extent of its success, regardless of the timing of its presentation. What is surprising is that the success of the series “Old Rent” exceeded the success of “Kashf Urgent”, and I consider myself lucky with my first dramatic work with important names.
What about the series “Old Rent”?
– The character of Dr. “Laila” in the series “Old Rent” was not my first experience in the acting arena, but it was my first appearance in a dramatic work that resonated well with the audience, and I received wonderful and encouraging reactions about it, and it is my nature to study my characters well. I am preparing for it with all my emotions, and I consider it a strong launch into the world of drama after a wonderful acting experience in a short feature film entitled “Tok Tok,” for which I won 7 awards in important international festivals around the world.

What is the story of the movie “Tok Tok”?
– A short fictional film that tells the story of a married girl called “Walaa” whose husband leaves her and disappears without any reason or source of livelihood, so she is forced to work on “Tok Tok.” The film was shown in more than 40 festivals around the world, and won many awards, for which it received a Awards.
How did you receive this success and these awards at the beginning of your career?
The awards were a big surprise, because they were many and in important international festivals, and my success during the film in presenting the character of a popular girl who works on a tuk-tuk gave me great confidence and I consider it a strong motivation to continue in the acting arena.
How do you hone your talent as an actress?
– I won the title of Miss Egypt in 2009, and although I benefited from the title to some extent at the time by getting opportunities to present television programs, I kept acting in mind, and I studied and learned in acting workshops, and I watched a lot of the works of the generation of giants, as if I was preparing for the step of acting, and when the opportunity came, whether in the movie “Tok Tok” or the series “Old Rent,” I succeeded very much, with God’s grace.

Do you care about presenting yourself as a beautiful girl in your work?
– Absolutely, I like to be myself, and I refuse plastic surgery at this age. I like to be like my characters, and my dream is to be said about me as a talented actress, not a beautiful girl who acts.

– I am preparing to film an important and different role in a new series for the season outside Ramadan, entitled “The Wish List.”
