The subway user dies after being stabbed at the station

A 38-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times as he exited a Bronx subway station on Thursday night died, authorities said Friday.

The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday as the victim was exiting train 4 northbound at the 176th Street and Jerome Avenue station in Morris Heights.

In a surveillance video, two men are seen fighting and then one of them stabs the other several times. According to the police, the victim was injured in the back and chest.

Police say the attack was not provoked.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. He would later die, according to the police.

There are currently no arrests and the identity of the victim is unknown.
