The students of the Lycée André Maurois d’Elbeuf blocked their establishment on Wednesday. They ask for the baccalaureate in continuous control. Even with the reductions announced last week by the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, they believe they are not ready for the bac.
“We’re going blind”
“There is a great inequality between high schools. There are some who were able to do the white bac. For example, at Maurois, we couldn’t because of a lack of organization. And we have no training compared to the Lycée Buisson for example, it is the neighboring school. They have had it and know how to do it. We are going blind“, explains Louna, a 1st year student. She will pass the French baccalaureate in a month.
Like her, many do not feel at all ready for the final exams of the bac. Like Hugo, a final year student. “The bac is very unequal, especially between several high schools in the city. We were going to have white bac exams but it was canceled. They don’t want to do philosophy tests on us because there is no time“, says the young man of 16 years.
