Solís was not always blind, nor did he come to that condition by accident. “It was gradual, because I have a degenerative retinal disease. It started in adolescence and got worse as the years went by ”, he recalls. However, he set out to move forward as it took place. Thus he came to study law at the University of Chile, where, occupying a football term, he broke it. “I graduated with a 7, after an effort of a year to do it in the grade exam and also thanks to the support that I always had from my classmates and other people”, he reflects.
University life forced him to adapt to the conditions that existed. “When I entered, I already had the disease, so I had to get used to giving all the tests orally,” he recalls. Already in the professional world, he also had to learn to handle himself so as not to have problems, obstacles that he has overcome with great success. “Now there are screen readers and the technology is very supportive. In the same way, for all these types of allegations, it is necessary to study them a little more before to have them practically in memory. It takes an extra effort, because one cannot draw on the notes that lawyers normally have, but one has to keep them in mind, since one cannot go and take a look at the paper ”, he explains.
Likewise, the professional born and raised in Estación Central 38 years ago appreciates the collaboration he has received throughout his career. “In general, I have had the understanding of the environment, especially in the legal world. I have never had an episode where it was complicated for me. In addition, I have an assistant I trust in case you have to read a minute or some document, “he details.
His experience in the world of football is quite long. “Although this is the first case processed in the ANFP, related to football I have had other issues against clubs, advice to professionals. This is related to Portasur, which is a sports consultancy that has a multidisciplinary team. They gave me the opportunity and I am in charge of the litigation area, which is my specialty. I have been with them for several years and, in addition, I have my own office independently since I graduated ”.
