After the top version of the Peugeot 508 was officially introduced last year, it became clear that official imports into the Czech Republic were not planned. But that’s half the case.

508 Peugeot Sport Engineered, as the full name of the model sounds, is missing on the official website and in promotional materials, but it can be ordered individually through authorized dealers.

However, the quotas for the Czech market are very small, in other words, in reality, the production slot is expected to be released.

508 PSE can be ordered in the Czech Republic for 1.7 million crowns. In this case, the equipment is basically full, including, for example, night vision, Hi-Fi Focal or automated parking.

However, the novelty is mainly interesting for its technology. Within the brand, the car achieved a record system output of 265 kW (365 hp) and 520 Nm of torque thanks to a plug-in hybrid system.

It combines a supercharged petrol sixteen and two electric motors. The front has 81 kW, the rear is 2 kW more powerful, so it is a car with all-wheel drive.

In the sharpest mode, it can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds, from 80 to 120 km / h accelerates in three seconds, the maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h. 508 PSE runs on electricity at 140 km / h.

The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 11.5 kWh ensures a range of up to 42 kilometers on a single charge. On the 7.4 kW charger, the battery is charged in an hour and forty-five minutes.

Visually, the sports division presents a bright yellow-green, which appears on the extended aggressive bodykit in several details. However, in order to be a tasteful combination, the varnishes can only be selected between black, white and gray. The green can also be found inside, the interior is further dominated by sports seats.
