The strongest Monsters achieved a valuable win with a desperate play that brought them back to their original intention.

In the 104th episode of JTBC’s entertainment program ‘The Strongest Baseball’, which aired on the 28th, the Strongest Monsters enjoyed a thrilling victory by defeating Ansan Technical High School 6:2.

On this day, the strongest Monsters suffered from the nightmare of a sweep loss in the previous Dongguk match even before the game. In the end, General Manager Jang Si-won calmed down the players in the locker room by saying, “I hope they can go back to the beginning.”

Today’s opponent, Ansan Technical High School, is also a formidable opponent. This is a strong team that has been running with the goal of appearing as the best baseball player since winning the first major tournament since its founding. They showed a burning batting line and a fierce defense, creating a dramatic match against the strongest Monsters.

Monsters’ starting pitcher Yoo Hee-gwan showed off ace-like pitching this season. He tied up the Ansan Technical High School batting lineup by hitting four-seamers and slow curves in the low 110 km/h range into every corner of the strike zone.

In particular, Yoo Hee-gwan calmly caught the surprise bunt of Ansan Technical High School’s batter in the top of the third inning with a glove toss to count out, and broke the record for the most strikeouts this season by freely using the inside and outside of the ball.

Following Yoo Hee-gwan’s good pitching, the Monsters’ batting lineup slowly began to wake up. First, ‘Captain’ Park Yong-taek received a hit in 8 consecutive games and recorded a hit in 9 consecutive games.

In response, Ansan Technical High School did not back down and showed the spirit of high school baseball. They kept the strongest Monsters players on their toes until the end with their bold strategy execution ability and base running play. In the top of the 6th inning, Ansan Technical High School’s Kang Min-seong impressed viewers with his hustle play that changed the flow of the game, scoring a timely hit with an RBI.

While the game was fierce, Lee Dae-ho, who had recently been having trouble hitting, brought the momentum back with a timely hit in the bottom of the 7th inning.

In addition, the strongest Monsters showed their desperation for victory by even carrying out an operation called Deliberate Destruction. The defense team also narrowed down the previously lax defensive net, repeatedly destroying Ansan Technical High School’s scoring opportunities.

The Strongest Monsters followed in the footsteps of Yoo Hee-gwan and put Nippert and Yeondong’s left-handed ace Kang Min-gu on the mound to block Ansan Technical High School’s batting lineup and secure a 6-2 victory.

With today’s victory, the Strongest Monsters were able to continue the remainder of the season as a complete team without a release. It was remembered as one of the most important games of the season in that it was able to lift the shadow of the recent sweep loss that had been cast over the team.

The second game between Strongest Monsters and Ansan Technical High School, which are trying to continue their winning streak, can be seen on the 105th episode of JTBC’s entertainment program ‘Best Baseball’, which will be broadcast at 10:30 pm on Monday, November 4.
