The Strokes back on stage in New York to support Democrat Maya Wiley

Accompanied by comedian John Mulaney, Congressman Alexandria Oscasio-Cortez and Devonté Hynes, Julian Casablancas’ band ignited the stage at Irving Plaza this Saturday, June 12 as part of a fundraiser for the Democratic candidate for New York City Hall, Maya Wiley.

As part of a fundraiser for Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Maya Wiley – the Strokes ‘second after the May 15, 2021 acoustic livestream – Julian Casablancas’ band performed on stage at the Irving Plaza for New York’s first full capacity concert since the first US lockdown.
