the street as a museum. Urban art and graffiti

In this chapter of Utopias we reflect on the origin, evolution and contradictions of Street Art or Urban Art and the world of graffiti. What is the difference between them? Should this art remain in the street, its place of origin, or can it coexist with the rest of the works in galleries and museums?

In addition, issues such as the dichotomy between public and private space, the artist identity, the concept of temporality in each work and the effect that social networks have on their dissemination.

Participate in the talk:

  • Dadi Dreucol, multidisciplinary artist whose work revolves around public art and its problems through graffiti and mural painting.
  • Julieta XLF, artist specialized in mural painting and graffiti. His work focuses on mural interventions in public space.
  • Aintzane Cruceta, Malaga artist and illustrator known for the pop surrealism that marks her work. Style always accompanied by a vindictive character that represents women as a symbol of strength, sensuality and independence.

Listens Utopias every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. on Radio 3.
