The strategy gem Into the Breach gets new content and is released for mobiles

But the mobile versions are only for Netflix subscribers.

Into the Breach released in 2018 (review here) and was developed by Subset Games, which is also behind the fantastic Faster Than Light. Now it seems that they want to breathe some life into the game, and this is done not only by adding a lot of new content to a free Advanced Edition update, but also by releasing it to mobiles.

But we take the bad news first, and that is that you have to be a Netflix subscriber to play Into the Breach on Android and iOS when it’s released on July 19th. It’s exactly the same game that was released for other platforms, but with a new, touchscreen-friendly user interface. The mobile versions will also include the new content. A physical Switch version will also be released in October 2022.

The Advanced Edition update will be completely free on all platforms and will also be released on July 19th. It includes five new mechs to steer, nearly 40 new weapons and new abilities for pilots to learn. We also get new enemies, bosses and mission types to test these on. Like salmon on herring, the game must also be translated into Swedish.
