Among all the new buildings that have grown in recent years in New York, there is one set that is worth a visit if you like architecture: the American Copper Buildings.
These two twin towers were inaugurated in 2017 in East Midtown and their design is surprising: one of the towers is perfectly straight while the other is more angular. A New Yorker whom I met on the banks of the East River told me that the whole is nicknamed “K building” by the locals, ie “the K-shaped building”.

The American Copper Buildings is 140 meters high for the East Tower and 160 meters high for the West Tower and the two towers only accommodate apartments. You will see the silhouette of this ensemble emerge from the Empire State Building observatory or from the banks of the East River, especially in the Gantry Plaza State Park.
The K Building also presents another originality: the bridge that connects the two buildings houses a bar and a 23-meter-long swimming pool. Unfortunately, you have to be a resident of the building to be able to enjoy it … But that will not prevent you from taking photos of this building from all angles!
