Venna Melinda stated that she was a victim of domestic violence by Ferry Irawan after being smothered so that her hands and feet were crushed, then her nose was pressed against Ferry’s forehead until finally blood flowed. Venna had asked Ferry to stop worrying about his broken nose. Regarding this, Ferry finally opened his voice.
“No, no (immediately bleeding). So at that time I said ‘help, I’ll break my nose’. So as soon as he heard me say ‘broken’, his forehead was immediately removed from my nose. Only then did the blood flow like water,” said Venna Malinda to Hotman Paris before undergoing additional BAP, Thursday (12/1).
Regarding what Venna said, Ferry Irawan finally explained what really happened. Ferry admits that at that time there was a big fight between him and his wife.
According to Ferry at that time it was Venna who wanted to injure herself. At that time, he said, Venna had beaten herself until Ferry finally lifted her onto the bed.
“I lifted her (Venna) to the bed. At that time she pressed her face against mine with words. Finally I wanted to finish, I said, because those words were what made me more than anything else. In my heart, it was inappropriate those words came out of my wife’s mouth. Finally I wanted to finish. I laid her down on the bed. That’s when she said I broke her nose,” Ferry told reporters at the East Java Police Headquarters, Monday (16/1/2023).
Ferry admitted that he was reluctant about what exactly had sparked the dispute between him and Venna. He considered that it was a disgrace to his family. That’s why he admitted that it was difficult to talk about the issues that sparked the dispute, which he said were not just a ‘bed’ problem, it was to maintain the privacy that occurred in his household.
“No, maybe it’s just one thing, huh. Like this, my friends. It’s a bit difficult for me to speak, because I’m not someone who likes to bring up household disgrace. So it’s still a bit difficult for me,” he said.
Ferry revealed that at this time he only hoped that his communication with Venna Melinda would be open. Because he feels that until now he is still Venna Melinda’s legal husband.
“Because of what, until this moment what I hope is to open communication. I am still her legal husband. But at the time of the incident the door of communication was closed for both me and my family,” he said.
Ferry’s legal adviser, Jeffry Simatupang, then questioned Venna’s statement that at that time her nose was pressed so that it broke. Jeffry questioned whether at that time it was really broken?
“As of today there is a statement that Mrs. V (Venna) said that ‘possibly my nose is broken’ is not ‘broken’ you know. ‘Possibility’. If it is possible, don’t make it a statement. The question is, is your nose broken or not? When Mrs. V came here , is his nose broken? Is there a tear? Then comes new news. He says his ribs are broken. When he arrived, did you use any assistive devices?” he said.
“Come on, we are both smart in assessing news. Let’s look at the facts, is it true that the nose is broken? Is it true that the ribs are cracked? Let’s see the results of the post-mortem examination. Don’t let an event that didn’t really happen be fabricated. That’s it, you know. ” he said.
