The story of the owner of a bore well, splashing 20 meters of water in Madura, killing 3 goats

Owner boreholes in Pandan Town, Omben District, Sampang killed 3 goats for safety when a 20 meter water jet came out. Killing a goat is part of the ruwatan.

Reported by detikJatim, Monday (5/8/2024) the owner of the drilling well, Rokib (35) admitted that ruwatan is usually done before drilling and after the drilling is completed. However, because there was a torrent event, he had to do repairs so that the torrent would go back quickly.

“I didn’t expect it to explode like that. Because I was worried about what might happen, that’s why I started last Friday (2/8) I invited people to recite the Koran early in the morning and late at night,” said Rokib to detikJatim at his home, Sunday (4/8/2024).

Rokib published the story which was announced as alms and thanks for finding water in the barren area. The goat that was killed is given to the neighbors who follow the tawasulan.

“We have killed 3 of them for safety. Thank God it went down quickly,” he said.

“Hopefully after this the water will be used by families and residents here,” he said.

Rokib took the initiative to drill a well at his own expense so that his village would not have water problems.

The drilling was carried out for 38 days until it was stopped on Thursday evening (1/8/2024). The craftsman who was drilling felt that he had reached the source of water.

But after the drilling was finished, the water that came out sprayed as high as 20 meters with a strong smell like sulphur. Before the rain burst, Rokib and his family panicked because they heard the sound of the wind like the roar of an airplane engine accompanied by two explosions.
