A woman named Dr Ruja Ignatova, nicknamed the ‘Crypto Queen’ is being targeted by the FBI. He was even included in the 10 most wanted fugitives because of the OneCoin Ponzi scheme. Ruja was called a big-time scammer after claiming to create a cryptocurrency that could rival Bitcon. When many people invested, Ruja disappeared. His story will reportedly be adapted in a television series.

Dr Ruja Ignatova was born on 30 May 1980 in Bulgaria. He moved to Germany with his family at the age of 10. Ruja himself is a smart person. He studied law at the University of Oxford and earned his PhD at the University of Konstanz, Germany. The mother of one can speak three languages, namely English, German and Bulgarian.
Ruja founded OneCoin in 2014 when not many people knew about cryptocurrencies. At that time, he introduced her by holding lavish parties in various countries. Dressed in a ball gown and diamond jewelry, Ruja managed to convince investors that his cryptocurrency would beat bitcoin.

It is said that victims don’t even know OneCoin does not have a payment system or blockchain technology, an important feature in any cryptocurrency. It is said that the funds that have been collected have reached €4 billion or Rp. 62 trillion.
Becomes the 11th Woman on the FBI’s Wanted List
The woman has been missing since 2017 when international authorities began searching for her. Ruja finds out he is a fugitive after bugging his girlfriend Gilbert Armenta’s house and discovers the man is working with the FBI to leak OneCoin. He then flew from Bulgaria to Greece and since then no trace of him has been found.
Ruja was charged by the United States government with eight counts, including wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering. In May, Europol added him to its most-wanted list as well as the FBI, which offered a bounty of up to $100,000 to anyone who could provide information about him.

The story of a fugitive Crypto Queen was discussed by British journalist Jamie Bartlett in the BBC podcast, The Missing Cryptoqueen. As more and more people learned about her case, the woman’s life story was said to be featured in a documentary series in England.
The series is planned to be titled ‘Crypto Queen’ and discusses from how he became an expert, defrauding investors, to testimonials from OneCoin employees. It is said that the show which raises one of the biggest fraud cases in the world is similar to the series ‘Inventing Anna’.
