Jakarta –
Today’s drink brands are now widely spread throughout Indonesia. With a wide variety of flavors, they are competing to attract the attention of customers. One of the contemporary beverage brands, Aresdi Mahdi Asyathry (34) as CEO from GLEK turned out to have had ups and downs before finally becoming a CEO.
Ares, as he is familiarly called, since he was a child, he seemed to enjoy trading and doing business. Even though he was born into a well-to-do family, by finding his own money, Ares can appreciate money more.
Before becoming CEO, Ares had opened several businesses, but all did not go smoothly.
“When I graduated from college I started an egg trading business for a year. Then I started a company that was engaged in logistics. And I also made a souvenir from Jakarta, called Kaos Logue. Until 2015 I created a new company again in the event sector, digital marketing. Making logos, making websites, making designs, working on convection, everything,” said Ares.
However, in 2017 Ares got a trial so that the business he was living had to go bankrupt. Ares is also in debt with a fantastic amount, which is Rp. 1.4 billion.
“I immediately remembered at that point why I was devastated, because my relationship with my parents, especially with my Umi was not good. And in 2018 I had a piggy bank of 3. That I couldn’t put money in that day. I didn’t have the money at that time. Finally, my Umi was staying at my house. I kissed her feet at that time, and I gave the contents of the gallon to her, IDR 2.7 million if I’m not mistaken, “explained Ares.
Unexpectedly, after giving some money to his mother, after a few days Ares got a project with a profit value according to the amount of debt he had. Still having money left over, Ares opened a GLEK business.
Ares vowed to be able to build a mosque on behalf of the parents of his employees at GLEK. And currently, Ares has built 2 mosques and 1 Koranic hut.
