JAKARTA – Marina Budiman become the richest woman in Indonesia. He is noted to have a wealth of up to USD 1.5 billion or the equivalent of IDR 21.5 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 14,355 per USD).
In the Forbes 50 list of Indonesia’s richest people, Saturday (12/18/2021), Marina is a newcomer at position 30. Marina is rich thanks to her share ownership in PT DCI Indonesia.
Now he is the president commissioner and co-founder of the company along with Otto Toto Sugiri and Han Arming Hanafia.
Marina’s own career intersects with Otto Toto Sugiri. Both of them worked at Bank Bali in 1985. When Otto founded Sigma, he joined and became project manager and then CFO in 2000.
The collaboration between the two continues with Indonet, the first internet provider in Indonesia. The company was founded by both of them in 1994. A dozen years later, the two of them worked together again to establish DCII to become what it is today.
Since being listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the value of DCII’s shares has reportedly increased by 11,000% at a price of IDR 44,000 per share. Initially, the company’s stock price was only Rp. 420 per share. With this number, DCII has become one of the most valuable Indonesian companies and has brought its co-founders one by one to the list of Indonesia’s richest people.
