The story of Latvian architect Kristaps Morbergs will come alive in a historical exhibition during the national holiday

Kristaps Morbergs (1844–1928) was a man with a unique life path – from a simple country boy from Zemgale to one of the most influential architects, contractors and philanthropists in Latvia. His donations to the University of Latvia in today’s terms exceed 15 million euros, making him the largest supporter of higher education in Latvia. His legacy lives on even today, providing scholarships to students of the University of Latvia and other universities.

The exhibition “The Architecture of the Soul of Kristaps Morberg” is designed as an inspiring story with a food dinner, which gives the audience the opportunity to look at the path of his life. The story will be based on the materials available in the archives, but the way of presentation will be emotional, full of symbols and contrasts of the era.

Creative team: director and producer Sindija Vilde, actor Varis Klausitajs, chef Raimonds Sommers, set designer Dārta Grīsle.
