Jakarta (ANTARA) – Actress Dian Sastrowardoyo and Actor Reza Rahadian shared their experiences of shooting a short film that was recorded using only a smartphone camera.
Dian said that even though the shooting process was carried out using a smartphone, she still felt the same level of professionalism as when using a professional camera.
“After I saw the results I was also very proud to be able to work on an epic short film, even though it was produced only with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G,” said Dian at the launch of a virtual short film entitled “Confabulation”, Tuesday.
It is known that Reza and Dian became the main characters in the short film titled “Konfabulasi” by Director Angga Dwimas Sasongko, which all scenes were recorded using the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G smartphone.
On that occasion, Dian revealed that she learned a lot during the shooting process. He did not think that just using a cellphone camera could produce such a high quality film.

“Only the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G can make a film this good, especially with its design compact it’s really easy to carry everywhere, it’s not complicated, you don’t have to carry big things. This film has created new ideas and new enthusiasm for me, “said the 39-year-old woman.
Meanwhile, Reza Rahadian admitted that he was very enthusiastic about the shooting process, because this was the first time he had played a role in a role that was recorded only with a cellphone camera.
According to him, the advanced technology embedded in a smart phone helps produce a good and quality film work.
“I thought about using the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G what the results would be and there were lots of scenes zoom shot, but it turns out that the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G can capture images well and when I see the results, this is really good, “said Reza.
Both Dian and Reza admitted that they did not experience significant difficulties when acting in front of a cellphone camera.
Reza said that even though the recording device used is only a cellphone, he must still work professionally as an actor.
“For acting myself I have to appear as professional as possible, regardless of whatever camera is used. So it doesn’t limit me because I keep using my cellphone camera. take it easy or relax, it can’t be like that So I still have to be serious to look my best, “said the 34-year-old.
Meanwhile Dian said shooting using a smartphone camera actually made her look as good as possible, because the technology embedded in the cellphone made it possible to capture detailed expressions and movements.
“In fact, if possible, we have to take care of it again because it’s already 4K, it’s really detailed, so if there is a slightly wrong expression, there shouldn’t be any gaps at all, you really have to. on point his appearance, “said Dian.
Furthermore, Dian and Reza hope that the short film “Confabulasi” will inspire young filmmakers to produce works using their smart phone devices.
“I hope that both this short film, and the behind-the-scenes process, will inspire us to take advantage of technology that can help our creativity in realizing dreams such as making films from our ideas,” said Dian.
“I can do it, so I think you can do it too. The results can epic as long as you can really maximize the mainstay features in it. So treat it device you are like a device professionally, and for the actors to act like a professional feature film, “added Reza.
“Confabulation” is a short film where all the scenes are recorded by optimizing the camera features found on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G such as Director’s View, 4K video recording, and Super Steady.
