Suara.com – Shocking news came from researcher non ASN who have been dedicated to the Institute for Molecular Biology Eijkman (LBME). They were dismissed because LBME was merged with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
The news emerged when the Eijkman Institute’s Twitter account announced that the Covid-19 Alert Team it had formed had resigned. The Deputy for Research and Innovation Infrastructure of BRIN will also take over the task of the team.
This information is getting more and more widespread, plus there are reports that as many as 120 scientists and support staff who are still non-civil servants (PNS) have been forced to lose their jobs due to the merger.
A young scientist at the Eijkman Institute, Edison Johar did not deny that the news also happened to him.
“In other words, it’s like that,” he said when confirmed by Suara.com, Saturday (1/1/2022).
Edison explained, with the formation of a research organization Eijkman . Research Center for Molecular Biology under the auspices of BRIN, there will be a new rule in which all employees must have the status of ASN or PNS.
Meanwhile, at the Eijkman Institute, the majority of the researchers do not have ASN or PNS status.
Edison is one of the young researchers who is not yet an ASN. He is one of the non-ASN researchers who will most likely not be able to continue their duties when the Eijkman Institute is merged into BRIN.
He admitted that he had heard of the options given by BRIN to researcher Eijkman. But for him, the most reasonable option, could not even make him a researcher.
