This magnificent mansion is located at The Ponds, in Sydney’s North West. Located on highly sought-after land, homeowners could stand to make billions if they decide to sell.

Experts estimate the price of the land at AU $ 60 million or approximately Rp 627.8 billion (exchange rate Rp. 10,464). Despite the Australian real estate market, the family is still against selling the land.

The property has a 200 meter long entrance to a house in the style of Windsor Castle. In addition to the house, there is a large barn at the back and a garage for three cars.

The house also offers beautiful views of the Blue Mountains and is approximately 40 minutes’ drive to Sydney’s central business district.

The Zammit family has already rejected an offer from the developer that was reported to be up to AU$40 million or the equivalent of Rp. Every day there are new requests from real estate agents asking the family to contact them.

Local residents said the family was quiet and rarely seen enjoying their sprawling property other than tidying up the garden.

Although the owner refused to sell to a developer, this property appeared on the market less than ten years ago. The surrounding blocks of land sold for up to AU$239/m2 in 2012, meaning the property was worth around AU$4.78 million or around IDR 50 billion 10 years ago.

Then, this house also appeared on the property market again for a week in November 2015 and February 2016.

Before that, the Zammit family had said that their home area was very different compared to 16 years ago when they first moved. The settlement was once an agricultural land filled with small houses and small red brick houses.

The property owned by the Zammit family is believed to have more than five bedrooms, a large garage for the family car and a basketball court.

Despite the extensive grounds, the building has no luxuries such as a swimming pool or tennis court. In fact, there was not a single tree or bush.

Residents said the large lawn was usually neatly mowed in about two and a half hours by the couple’s son. The house is surrounded by a fence about 750 meters long.

If the property were to be sold, it is estimated that 40 new homes could be built on the land. However, so far it is not clear why the Zamit family refused to sell the house.
