Berlin –
Sayed Sadaat, a former minister in Afghanistan which is now the introduction of food in German, admits that he is not ashamed of his current job.
As reported AFP, Monday (08/30/2021), Sadaat, who stopped being a minister in Afghanistan because he was fed up with corrupt practices, had to work 6 hours during the working day, and from noon until 22.00 local time on Saturday and Sunday.
In an orange coat and a large backpack while riding a bicycle, Sadaat delivers orders for pizza or other food for customers.
“There is no shame in this work at all. Work is work,” Sadaat told AFP.
“If there’s a job, it means there’s a public demand… someone has to do it,” he added.
Sadaat is one of thousands of Afghans who have found a home in Germany in recent years. Since 2015, European countries have seen a massive influx of refugees fleeing the war with most of them from Syria and Iraq.
About 210,000 Afghans are estimated to have sought asylum in Germany. This makes them the second largest group seeking refuge in Europe’s most populous country, after Syria.
