Do donors to a political party get compensation? A nephew of Prince Charles’ spouse is central to a heated British debate.

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, met Prince Charles a few days ago in Staffordshire. The heir to the throne is now being drawn into the debate over the Conservative Party’s donors.

On Sunday, the British front pages were marked by good news about Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He and his wife Carrie are expecting children. It will be her second and his seventh. But The Sunday Times had a case that could take more night’s sleep from the tory leader.

It comes in the wake of a tricky case from earlier this week. The Financial Times was then able to reveal that “an elite club of Tory donors is holding secret meetings with Johnson and Sunak”. Rishi Sunak is the country’s finance minister.
