Yuka Takaoka (now 25) burning a cigarette while sitting cross-legged seems like a common sight. What was unusual was that the uncovered thigh was covered in blood and it turned out that behind him was a figure covered in blood who turned out to be his girlfriend who he had just stabbed.
quoted The Sun and Tokyo ReporterSunday (15/1/2022), the bloody incident occurred in 2019 when Takaoka revealed the reason for choosing to break up first while calling his friend after stabbing his girlfriend, Phoenix Luna – the stage name of the man who works at the nightclub in the Kabukicho Red Light District .
Takaoka admitted that he chose to sit back while smoking after stabbing his girlfriend because he had no intention of running away. He admitted that he wanted to kill himself after seeing his girlfriend actually die.
“I didn’t want to go anywhere, so I sat on the steps outside. I didn’t call emergency services because I intended to die after seeing him die from the stabbing,” Takaoka said at the time.
Incidents of the Stabbing
According to the police, the stabbing incident began when Phoenix Luna came home late. Though, Takaoka was already waiting for him. Takaoka also feels that his girlfriend has become “cold” towards him.
“On that day, he (Phoenix Luna) came home late at night, even though he (Takaoka) was waiting. In addition, he (Takaoka) found a photo of his girlfriend (Phoenix Luna) with another woman on the cellphone he left behind,” said the investigator at the time.
When Phoenix Luna came home, Takaoka didn’t mention the photos he found at all. However, while Phoenix Luna was sleeping, Takaoka stabbed her with a knife.
“Instead, after the boyfriend fell asleep, he stabbed her with a knife. Startled, the boyfriend woke up and fled to the first floor lobby,” investigators said.
When the police arrived, Takoaka’s girlfriend was lying on the floor covered in blood. Meanwhile beside him, Takaoka who was covered in blood looked calm and was talking on the phone while smoking a cigarette.
