Reducing opening hours is not the only solution proposed to save energy. The company intends to install photovoltaic panels in stores.

Lighting and heating are essential

He also wants to save money by changing the heating and reducing the lighting. Aldi stores in Poland also have a plan to save money. From November 1st, customers will not make purchases after 8pm. People who have an afternoon shift so they are out of luck after work. They will have to wait until morning to buy food. Kaufland will also close some stores sooner. Instead of 23:00 already at 22:00. According to the supermarket’s announcement, this is not related to energy saving, but to a small number of customers.
