As fans continue to debate who is the best player in the world, Rodríguez has a straight answer.
“I appreciate him very much, as a person and as a player,” she said in an interview with the world football association Fifa before the World Cup when asked why she chose Ronaldo and not Messi. “He’s always inspiring, surpassing himself every day. He’s just my idol.”
