The StemWijzer for the European Parliament election on June 6 is online and available via stemwijzer.nl. With the StemWijzer from ProDemos, users compare their opinion on 30 statements with the opinion of the political parties participating in the election. In the run-up to the 2023 House of Representatives election, the StemWijzer was completed 9.1 million times.
Statements about the future of the EU, climate and migration
Do you think the European Union should finance weapons for Ukraine? Should companies pay for their CO2 emissions? And do you think it should be easier for skilled workers to come and live and work in the EU? After giving their opinion on 30 statements, users are told which political parties they agree with most on these points.
Accessibility
The StemWijzer website is an accessible website. For example, the website can be used with speech software and the color contrast is optimal for people with a visual impairment. Users receive additional explanations for statements and difficult words. The StemWijzer has been approved according to the European WCAG2.1 guidelines for accessible websites.
Presentation StemWijzer with party leaders
In the presence of party leaders and other leaders of the political parties, the StemWijzer was launched today in the House of Europe. During the presentation, the party leaders were the first to complete the StemWijzer.
Young Voice
ProDemos makes several voting aids. Next week comes Thursday May 16th [ webReader kan de content van een website hardop voorlezen]Young Voice online, the voting aid for young people. Each statement is explained in a video by various influencers. In addition, the statements are in line with the experiences of young people.
VoteMatch
In addition to the StemWijzer, we also create VoteMatch Europe for the European Parliament election. This is an additional website where users can compare their positions with parties throughout the European Union. This website has also been online since today.
After completing the StemWijzer and seeing the results, users can choose to go to the VoteMatch website. Makers of voting aids throughout Europe have presented parties with partly the same statements.
